New features since VRL 0.1
Since VRL 0.1 which was released in May 2008 many things have changed. One of the most important things is the new animation framework and the Java3D integration.
XML Session SupportVRL provides an xml based session management that allows to save complete VRL sessions:
- Window position and additional window properties
- Binary object serialization via compressed Base64
- Connections and user input, e.g., text and numbers
Animation & TimingVRL has a completely new Animation and Timing framework. This allows to easily create animated Swing components.
Java3D IntegrationThe integration of Java3D brings totally new possibilities. Type representations can use Java3D to display hardware accelerated 3D content.
