Warning: the follwing command removes all the files on the specified disk. So be careful! Please make sure the drive is NOT mounted.To rename FAT USB drives the following command can be used (as root): mkfs.vfat -n NEWLABELNAME /dev/sdxx Replace /dev/sdxx with the device that shall be renamed.
