First Commercial JavaFX Apps Released!

August 30, 2013 | Filed under: Featured, Java, JavaFX, Uncategorized and tagged with: accounting system, bazar, cashier system, DBF, Digital Brain Factory, flee market, garage sales, Java, JavaFX, JFXtras

Since a few months we from DBF are working on an innovative JavaFX based accounting & cash register system for garage sales, flee markets and even large events.

We just released the first version of the software! (Already 100+ users)

What makes our software special is the fact that it works out of the box on every laptop computer that has a front camera. No special scanner hardware is needed.

JavaFX based UI

The user interface is completely JavaFX based. For the ui design we used the JavaFX Scene Builder. Together with the great CSS support and NetBeans integration the ui design was so much fun!

Here are some images from the german version:

Even the price tags were designed with Scene Builder:

Targeting Mac, Windows & Linux

With the help of JavaFX’s great native packaging support we provide bundles for all relevant desktop operating systems.

We would love to see JavaFX on mobile devices (Android&iOS)!

Conclusion

JavaFX clearly enhances productivity! Creating multi platform applications is absolutely doable with minimal effort. We will continue to use Java+JavaFX for our products. We are looking forward to mobile os support and improved rich text components API!

Great looking app! Do you plan to support other languages (e.g. English) and currencies other than Euro?

      Thanks!

Yes we do! Localization support for invoices etc. is already there. We just started with the german version as we already have german customers.
